dude if your concerned about future upgrade go for 2x4gb and it also have better performance (slight), but if you want your rig to look cooler and fuller go 4x2gb , in my case i have the msi b75a g43 gaming, the boards theme is red w/a dragon heatsink, so to make it cooler looking i choose to add 4x2gb, but if i have the spare money ill go for the 4x4gb for future proofing purposes hope it helped

dude what's your problem im trying to be realistic here, im not saying that 4x2gb is better than 2x4gb.
we dont know what is going on with the thread starters mind so im trying to cover all aspects of he's question .
1st performance wise 2nd- aesthetic wise 3rd is budget wise.
I respect your opinion, but if you dont have something good to say just dont.

@thread starter i hope you get my point .

well then he should definitely go for the 2x4gb module performance wise

but since he already have an existing 2x2gb that's another story if you have money to spare go buy the 2x4gb
so in the future you still have the option to add 2more sticks for an upgrade ( im assuming you have 4dimm slots)
