[SOLVED] 2x8 vs 3x8 DDR4

Hi,
recently bought ram sticks and missclicked, instead of buying 2x8 I bought 3x8. My mobo supports only dual-channel and my question is; is there a performance loss with 3x8 vs 2x8 mostly in gaming? Should I just sell the one ram stick or keep it and have 24gb of ram.

Gtx 1070

Gigabyte b450m
bought RAM G.Skill Aegis 3x8 3000mhz DDR4

there are single set so you could ue 2 of them and sell the 3 one .

You can still use all 3 of them, 2 in dual channel and one will be single channel of course. Check the MB manual for placement. Since they are only 3000MHz, all should work at full speed.
