Here are my specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Mobo: Gigabyte B150M-DS3H
RAM: Mushkin Blackline 2x8GB DDR4-2400mhz
CPU: Intel i5-6600K
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070

Currently, there are 4 RAM slots on my motherboard that are grey and black. All are labeled in order (DDR4-1, DDR4-2, etc). I have my RAM in slots 1 and 3 as recommended by the manual.

After switching around the ram sticks in all slots, BIOS and windows still reads only 1 ram slot.

I've read multiple guides on your forums and have tried making sure both sticks are fully inserted into the slots and checking the BIOS settings to make sure which sticks are being read (only 1 channel is reading).

What other options do I have to fix this?

PS, I do understand that my motherboard only supports 2133mhz. Is there a way that I can downclock my RAM once I am able to read both sticks?

Solution
I'd use cpu-z vrs bios.
You ram is default at 2133MHz on a skylake cpu. If it was a kabylake cpu, it'd default to 2400MHz. So there's no issue with ram speeds.

You can use slots 2/4, in fact most mobo manufacturers recommend them.

There's a couple options as to why the ram isn't working. The first being that according to Gigabyte, there isn't a single stick of Mushkin ram that's on the QVL. I don't know if it's because they never tested Mushkin ram, or Mushkin didn't pass compatability.
Second could be an incompatibility with the 2x sticks, but being a kit (hopefully) they should be factory tested to guarantee compatibility.
Third could be that you need to upgrade the bios to the latest in order to get those particular sticks to...

Third could be that you need to upgrade the bios to the latest in order to get those particular sticks to play nice.
Lastly, the mobo or even cpu (memory controller) could be bunk. Without testing with other ddr4 sticks and/or cpu it's kinda impossible to tell what's up.

Not good news really, sorry.

You could try bumping up the dram voltage in bios 0.05v or so, even upto a max of 0.15v and see if that works. Do so with one stick in bios, save the profile, then add the second stick.
