Question 3.5mm speakers not detected

I have msi b350 gaming pro motherboard

Sound works on system as long as its not using 3.5mm jack
I have speakers i want to use with 3.5mm (logitech z333)
It works on other laptops/devices
It does not even show up when plugged into my PC

Things i have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling realtek audio drivers (the onces msi bundle to use)
Fresh setup of windows 10
Trying both rear and front 3.5mm jacks

any other things i should try? I doubt both of my 3.5mm jacks are broke

Right click the small speaker icon usually located in the lower right screen corner.

A four item menu should appear and each choice may lead to multiple configuration settings.

Start with "Troubleshoot sound problems".

Explore the current configuration but do not change anything until you have checked the current settings.

Make notes of any configuration settings that do not appear to be as you expect.

Then try some changes but change only one thing at a time. Keep track of what you change should you need to go back an undo something.
