Hello,

I've Just received my Astro A10 headset with 3.5mm cable and a Y splitter included.
I plug cable into headset (all cables atached properly), i hook the Y splitter and push green into green jack and pink into pink jack on my motherboard's rear (Gigabyte z170n wifi).

Microphone does not work in this case. However if i pull out the green (headset) jack - it works with the splitter or without it.

How to make them work together? I think it could be some sort of Realtec issue. I tried activating/deactivating recording and playback devices, mesed with realtec setings but i can't seem to find the wya to make them work together.

Solution
Okay, here's what worked for me:
1. Push Jack into headset REALLY hard (there should be one main click and then secondary click, i found this out on an internet video about his headset).
2. Went to Realtec's Sound Manager (bottom right icon in Windows 10).
2.1. In options (there are two small icons on the bottom right of Realtec's SM), i "Disabled front Panel detection, Disabled Auto pop'ups. In other options i "Splitted all jacks individually" (versus combine jacks).
3. Right clicked on the speaker icon on right bottom of Windows 10 and went to "Recording devices". Disabled "Front Panel Microphone" and enabled as default "Rear Microphone" (when doubleclicking on each device it shows in the description what jack is in and writes color...
