3 GB/s RAID on a 6 GB/s MB

Hey Guys!
I have a quick quesion about the MSI 890FXA - GD70 Board regarding RAID possibilities (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130274&cm_re=890_FXA-_-13-130-274-_-Product). Under the specifications Tab, it lists only SATA 6 GB/S RAID configurations and not 3.0 RAID configurations (even though the drives themselves are backwards compatible). I was wondering if this meant that RAIDing 3.0 drives on this board is an impossibilty, namely 2 150 GB 3.0 Velociraptors in a RAID 0 set.
