These are certainly neat, and I hadn't seen a clear acrylic version before... but I've had an opaque-base set that was 3D printed sitting on my desk for YEARS, so it's not exactly a new concept.

I know that sometimes it's a slow news day, and I don't wanna be completely dismissive of "Hey, look at this cool thing I found that you may not know about" because sometimes the thing is neat and I really was out of the loop on it... but this does feel like management is issuing conflicting directives and the writers are caught in the middle. They want to have a more serious, more professional, premium-priced subscription service... but also want to hit an article quota on the free side, and make sure it links to a "Best of ___" article with affiliate links.
