3 monitor setup?

I have a AMD Radeon HD7950. I am using one desktop monitor (DVI), and a TV (HDMI).

I am trying to connect another TV using MDP->HDMI.

Problem 1: I cannot open Catalyst Control Center. (using driver 13.12) I right click on desktop and to CCC and it doesn't do anything. Same if I go through the start menu.

Problem 2: Using the windows display settings I cannot change anything. It sees the 3rd display, but doesn't let me activate it or change anything.

Is your Mini DisplayPort > HDMI adapter active? To run three monitors one of them have to be on a DisplayPort or Active DisplayPort adapter.

I try duplicating the display on the TVs, and it says the display settings could not be saved, try a different config. Does the same if I try extending the displays.

I am not sure but as I said it will never work with three monitors if your DisplayPort to HDMI is not a active adapter period. The 6xxx and 7xxx cards had to have a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable or a Active DisplayPort adapter inorder to handle three monitors there is no way around it. That was changed with the R9 cards but not for the lower cards. What MDP>>HDMI are you using if it is just a DisplayPort>HDMI and not active it will not work. Post the make/model adapter/cable you are using.

thx. I'm sure it's not an active cable, didn't know this was a requirement. wasted a few bucks I guess.
