Hi guys, I currently have a problem.

Yesterday, I was tweaking the RPM of the chassis fan that came included in my case when I bought it. My case is Tecware Alpha. The chassis fan was connected to my Motherboard at that time, and SpeedFan showed it's RPM while I was tweaking it.

Suddenly, I noticed that SpeedFan reported that the chassis fan was going at 0 RPM. When I checked the physical fan, it was not spinning.

Thinking it was a bug, I restarted my computer to no avail. Even booting to BIOS did not help, and instead my BIOS did not recognise the fan that was connected to it.

I have tried using 2 spare JetFlow 120 fans on the same Motherboard Fan Header, but none of them worked.

I also tried resetting my UEFI settings, but it did not work also. I am unsure of how to properly reset my CMOS/BIOS/UEFI

My motherboard is the Asrock H170M Pro 4, and the fan header currently not working is the CHA_FAN1.

Could anyone please provide some help and insight to this problem?

I would gladly provide more information if needed.

Thank you.

Solution
if you use the fan that seems to not work on another fan port does it run normally ? if so and you already tested the failed port with other fan then I would look into bios or fan software if you can set a temp/speed , if you set it and nothing comes out of it, your fan port is dead.
