My case has 2 fans, on at the front and one at the back. I'm pretty sure one is an intake and the other an exhaust. However, my motherboard only has one fan header. If I use a Y-Splitter to connect both fans to the MOBO, will one still be an intake and the other an exhaust or will they both spin in the same direction? Also, how is the fan direction actually controlled? Is it in the hardware or software, for instance the BIOS?
Thanks for your time

The fan rotation wont change as they only spin 1 way. ie to change from intake to exhaust you have to remove than fan and re mount the other way round. The splitter will work and nothing will change

edit the side of the fan with the mounting arms is exhaust, the open side is intake (the air flow direction if that makes sence)
