Question Fans position and aio questions/Help

I know there is 100's if not 1000's of discussions on this topic and have read alot of them and problem is everyone says different things and can be confusing so like I always do I turn to you all on here.

I plan on building a new system using the Corsair 5000D Airflow case as my canvas so I have some questions on the cooling aspect.

Now I have read that its best to have a mix of 120mm and 140mm fans and have also read you can use all 120mm and just run them at a lower speed?

I will using a 280mm aio now my question with that is should I mount it on the side and configure as an intake or on top and use it as an exhaust? As for fans I was think 3 120mm in front 3 on side (for intake) or 3 on top for exhaust) depending on aio placement and 1 120mm on rear as exhaust .

The fans I'm deciding on are either Artic P12/P14 or Lian Li UNI 120mm/140mm. As a side note I wont be overclocking as I only play World of Warcraft and with the 12-14 Gen cpus there really isn't any need to. I will list what my build plan will be.

Case: Corsair 5000D
Motherboard: MSI PRO B760M-P
CPU: Intel i5 12600KF
Ram: G Skill Trident Z 4000MT/s DDR4
GPU: XFX Speedster 6800XT or 7703
AIO: ID-Cooling Frostflow X 280

What specific requirements led to the choice of the Corsair 5000D case?

Not questioning the case per se but if the choice is raising such questions and the case documentation (as well as cooler, fans, etc. documentation) does not provide answers then you may need to reconsider the case choice.

More fans are not necessarily "better" and may even be counterproductive.

I suggest a simple diagram or edited photograph that shows your current plans.

The reason I chose the 5000D is because I have always used Corsair Cases with this it cone with a fan hub mounted in the back but what draws me to it is the optional wood panels you can buy I love the look and even if I went with a different case I'd still be confused on position,size and Placement as for a diagram I'm thinking of something like this

Test both positions - configure your personal fan curves, compare cpu and gpu operating thermals, and pick the more favorable one(if the difference is even noticeable).

Corsair 4000D. Similar look, and no option for side fans, so one less variable in the mix.

Yeah was looking at that but only 1 front USB compared to 2 on 5000D and can only add front wood panel compared to front and top wood panel on tbe 5000D

Ok will do! Should I go with the P12's for the static pressure or the Lian Li UNI 120mm for the airflow?

i've in 4000d 3x120 front and 1x120 rear be quiet PURE WINGS 2 with 1500rpm
