SkyNetRising :
Check Disk Management. May need to assign drive letter.
Hi, SkyNetRising, Thank you for the reply. There are more then one issue involve with the ;problems in using the docking station with my computer. First of all my desktop is windows 10 1 TB gigabyte 4.00 ram. I had use 3 kinds of docking stations they are sabrent USB 3.0 sata Hard drive, USB 3.0 sata/IDA hard drive adapter and Cable matters docking station. All three are brand new which are just recently purchase. When the docking station is turn on windows 10 recognize the device and it shows in disk management as 'Disk 1 Removable F: the same goes for the other docking stations. Now the problem begins when I insert the sata hard drive and turn the docking station, the station turns off (indicator lights turns off). When the hard drive is removed the docking station turns back on with a beep sound, and the icon appears again disk management and also in device and printer, the same as the other two.
hard drive could not be access because the unit is not on,. It seems that the problem only occurs with the hard drive inserted into the dock or the adapter is attach to hard drive. It just won't work with the hard drive inserted and power on.
The hard drive being inserted is 3 TB. I understand that maybe an firmware update in needed to support 2 TB and above. I did try to update windows 10, but the system is up to date with docks installed and turn on.
I need help because I had contacted technical support for updates week ago) and have not received any response at all. I would be very thankful for any member or the community that can help with my technical issues.
Thank you, Happy Thanksgiving
