so i have one 780 with coil whine but its not THAT severe at all but i was thinking of buying 2 more off of ebay and making a 3 way sli but is it worth it ? or should i get a 1070 strix??? please help me fasssst

SLing the 980's is a better idea then the 780, better hardware and technology and will not run as hot.

a 3way SLI wouldn't be bad if you have all the cards, if not your better off getting a 1070 just so you dont run in to issues, plus you take advantage of new hardware and new hardware, even Direct X 12

what do you mean by "have all the cards" cause i plan on buying them i don't currently have them 😀 or should i sli a 980 ? will it get me better performance than a 1070 ?

A third card isn't really going to gain you that much more performance over 2. You also have to consider what CPU you have to push a SLI. It really is about $$$$ and what you gain in performance for it.

1. 1 more 780 $150+ = 980 TI if SLI works
2. 1 Rx 480 $199 ... overclocked is guesstimated to be close to a Stock 1070
3. 2 more 780's $300+ A little better than a 980 TI if SLI works
4. 2 RX 480's $400... Performance is guesstimated to be between close to a 1080 as well as, using far less power than 2 780's and much less heat.
5. 1 1070 $425+ = 2nd best card out

Frankly I'm banking on what AMD has to offer. We should see Real benchmarks this week as Toms is testing a RX 480 now.
