Is 3 1600x900 monitors any good for gaming. I am trying to decide because I can get 3 20" 1600x900 monitors for cheaper then 1 22" 1920x1080 monitor and I think a multi-monitor setup will be cool. What do you think?

Solution
That's got enough for your three 1600x900 monitors. However you'll want to make sure you have good airflow, since you'll be seeing a constant 85-100% GPU usage when gaming on all that landscape at once.

I have a Gigabyte GTX 970

1) I really hate multi-monitor setups for gaming, but frankly you have to experience it for yourself.

2) Uh, 2x1080p??
That's horrible as the gap would be in the MIDDLE of your viewing experience.

3) Cheap 900p monitors?
The quality of the monitor strongly affects gaming, and if three 900p monitors are cheaper than a single 22" I wonder how good they are.

4) *Frankly it's hard to say without a budget but my advice is usually a single, high-res monitor.

Yea those are all a little to expensive for me. I live in Australia so everything is more expensive and I can get these monitors for this cheap off of this website: http://www.reboot-it.com.au/used-dell-p2012ht-16-9-20-widescreen-lcd-monitor-1600-x-900-tilt-swivel-adjustable-cheap.html?selected_section=product_inquiry

I don't game on both at once, I use one to game and the other to monitor temps. When I really wanna game at the full potential, I hop on my other PC which has one of those 1440p ultra-wide monitors on it.
