u can run BF2 on high with a 6800

but 2gigs sill help with the stuttering

as u know i have 1gb of Ram and i will stutter sometimes -big maps

but later on i am going to get 2gb of ram to really really smooth things out

and the latest patch they have for BF2 suck soo much

i hope a new patch will fix those awfull problems

Hey Man , I Upgraded To 2Gb Ram About A Month Ago ( From 1Gb) & I Can Say , You WILL NEED 2Gb Memory , If You Are To Play Some Heavy Games Like BF 2 & F.E.A.R. @ Max Settings ... Ah , What Ever ... You Wont Listen Kid !!

I HAVE P4 2.6GHZ , 2 GIG RAM 400 BUS , XFX6800 GS 256 MB XXX , NO BOTHER WITH EVERTHING ON HIGHTEST EVEN RESI IS 1280 X 1024 😉

It's getting to the point where it's not worth telling him anymore...

alright man...common upgrade logic says get RAM first if you need it (which you do) because its the most cost effective thing to do, then go for the $300 video card...the 6800 is adequate, go for the RAM first. i can't find any reason why you'd WANT to spend at least $300 instead of $80ish for a very effective fix.

don't come onto a message board asking for help if you don't plan on listening to it. just because you wanna tell your friends you have a 7800GT, it doesn't mean its the smartest thing to do. honestly, learn the value of the dollar kid.

if running Plane BF2 then i go for ram first if i was playing BF2 SF i do ram first (see the same wording) + an very power full VGA card (BF2 SF sucks power heh)

in game settings i say
1024x768
Low (higher you set this the harder you be able to see mines and others hideing in grass)
High (i use this as an prefered setting as it shows mussle flash from guns med removes mussle flash, med inprove game speed in maga gun fights as all the mussle flashwill not happen)
High (basicly Viewing distance agane but when thay are rendered can speed up the game but others who have set this to high will be able to see you and shot you sooner)
Low (just makes stull look better)
Low (lighting makes some spots darker so it can be easyer to others to hide)
off (makes shadows)
off
off (2x see if it works ok gets rid of lines but can slow the game alot)
low (try Med just smooths things out an little but can slot the game alot to)
100% this should never be below 100%
