I'm currently trying to build my brother a PC. I already have a GTX 970 4gb that I can throw in it, and a 500 gb firecuda, so I'm not really worried about those items.
Basically, my goal is this:
To create something fairly good, but ultimately something that can easily be upgraded.
I've heard several people recommend looking into pre-built workstations. One issue I've had in my searches is finding something that can fit my GTX 970s. A lot of workstations don't support dual slot graphics cards. Another dilemma is finding something within the budget that isn't several generations outdated. I want the system to be upgradable and I don't want to limit my brother by putting in old parts.
In case the link above does not work, the build I currently have planned is
CPU:
Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5GHz quad-core
$99
Motherboard:
MSI B450M Pro-VDH
$70
RAM:
8gb DDR4 3000MHz
$64
Case:
Thermaltake H17
$35
Power Supply:
Thermaltake 500W 80+
$35
4x Rosewill case fans
$15
These items put the build price at about $320.
For the price, could I do better?
Any input is very appreciated.
