300GB low disk space

I recently downloaded and installed win7 ultimate (clean install) seems to work very well but I keep getting messages saying I have low disk space then says I have 300GB of 500GB available... WHAT? any ideas? I do plan on getting a larger HDD and doing away with my 1, 500 GB and 2 300GB drives, maybe a couple TB drives? so this is not really an issue its just these messages are getting annoying

Does it specify that drive as being low on space, or is it a general message?

yes it does specify low drive space, and yes I do realize that win 7 is a beta and may still have some problem but I really dont see why it would say low disk space. also I realized the other day (right after posting this thread) that windows 7 also doesnt show my 300GB HDD but Cmos does, not sure if it has anything to do with the problem with low disk space warning, all 3 HDD's are SATA 3

You may not have the drive partitioned properly. Check the disk manager (Right click Computer and select Manage, then go to disk management and you'll find the disks attached and the options to format them) and get its opinion.
