Question 3060 ti or 4060 ti

I currently run a 3060 ti with a 7700x AM5 build. Ive just won a 4060 ti in a competition. With all the negative reviews about the 4060 ti Im in two minds whether or not to swap the cards out or just sell the 4060 ti?

Hey there,

The 4060ti is faster in general terms. Prob about 10%. 1% lows seem to be better too.

With DLSS +Frame Generator can give a huge boost though, so the 4060ti is the better overall card, even though slightly limited. Better RT FPS too.

Try it out and see what you think. You might be surprised. It's been widely panned as poor value, but that's irrelevant given you won it!

For more info:

The 4060ti has a 128bit bus width. The 3060ti has a 256bit bus width. The 3060ti has more mem bandwidth, but the 4060ti makes up from it somewhat with re-bar. It's just a touch ahead. So with the 4060ti 8gb and 16gb, there is no difference in performance. If it's the 16gb I'd sell it along with the 3060ti and get maybe a 4070 Super or TI Super.
