[SOLVED] 3080 or 3070 at 1440p 144Hz?

As the title says, is a 3070 good enough for 144Hz gaming at 1440p? Or do I need to get a 3080? This computer will be playing a variety of games including cyberpunk 2077.

With a 3070.....some games will reach 144 fps on ultra.
With a 3080.....quite a few more games will reach 144 fps on ultra.

we don't know about the 3070 yet other than what nvidia has said. it is supposed to be roughly a 2080ti in performance. so look st numbers for that gpu and know it should be around that performance level. if that's good enough for you, then go for it. otherwise you now have numbers for the 3080 and can decide there.
