[SOLVED] 3080 vs 3090 for VR?

Still can't decide between a 3080 (10gb), 3080 (20gb), or a 3090 (24gb) for vr use. I mainly watch "videos" and would love to be able to watch 5k or 6k+ videos(can't on my 980 ti). Some gaming but haven't delved into supersampling yet.

I pre-ordered the HP Reverb G2.

3080 would handle it





Also, the headset is 4k. (2160 by 2160 times 2 is still just 4k.)
so you can't watch 5k or 6k videos on it.

Also, no VR game im aware of supports DLSS (nvidia's AI supersampling)

Thanks for the response. I thought Viewport and DeoVR can handle 6k via streaming from pc?

Definitely go for the 3080 if you aren’t planning on doing rendering stuff like in blender, because an rtx 2080 can handle VR just fine on pretty high settings!

I'd wait to see reviews on the 6900xt before putting money down for a 3090. That's an expensive card with just a little more fps.
