I currently own a 3070TI and i love it as it runs great with the rest of my computer. With that being said after some snooping at higher tier card prices I'm considering upgrading and selling my current card.

So far I've found a 3080TI FTW3 for about $370 total which i think i could get down. I've found a 3090 FTW3 for about $530 which i also think i could get down. the 24gb on the 3090 is very appealing

After seeing those prices and knowing it would be a minimal upgrade cost after selling my GPU, i was all in but then i thought about the 4000 series cards and the possibility of maybe even waiting until the 5000 series cards come out and hope that the 4000 series comes down. The only issue is like the last few generation releases i dont think prices will go down especially with what the 5000 series is rumored to be.

If it helps, I'm finding a 4070TI 16gb (PNY though) for about $500 which i think i can get lower and a 4070TI 12gb for about $350.
I'm also finding 4070 supers for low $400's but i believe the 4070TI is a better card

There's also a 4080 super running at about $600 and a 4070TI super for about $545 (appears to be a legit seller)

There are so many options (baring they are real listings) with different positives and negatives to each card. Any help deciding which one I should go for would be greatly appreciated

-So far the 3090 card is the only listing i have gotten a response on and confirmed to be LEGIT. I have recieved replies on a few other cards but still yet to confirm if they're legit

If you have 3070Ti there is 0 reason to upgrade to 3080Ti or 3000 series as a whole.

Just give it a bit over half a year for the market to stabilize with new GPUs and see what happens then - 3070Ti is fine enough until then.

I don't have a big issue with waiting, my only problem is the value of the 3070ti will only continue to drop while the other cards will stay the same. Meaning the amount that I actually have to spend to upgrade will increase.

Regardless it sounds like the 3000 series cards would be a waste to get period. In that case I'll focus on the 4000 series.

But now which of those is the best option?

Then probably 4070Ti Super, the one with 16GB VRAM. This one is practically identical to the 3090, except less VRAM, but does include DLSS 3.0 support and I'd rather not invest into a GPU that is soon 2 generations behind at this point - it's just 2 years close to drivers going maintenance mode for it.

If you stick to 1440p - it should last you several years of ultra quality gaming easily.

ok great thank you! I honestly was about to pull the trigger on the 3090 so I'm glad you could help me out.

Im interested in your thoughts on the 4080 super though? (in this case, based on the info I've given)

Well, I mean, that one's ofc better, but at this point it's not worth the price premium given you're clearly trying to balance the budget here.

Besides, what resolution you're gaming on? If it's 1440p, you don't really need anything more than 16GB 4070Ti, for at least a few years to come.

Like lets be real I'm running 3080Ti with 1440p ultrawide and I max out almost every 2024 title anyway - or at least close to max out. The only one game that put a pause there was Dragon's Dogma 2, but it was more thanks to it being unoptimized mess.

And well, sure Nolvus Skyrim, but that one can make even 4090 stumble with its sky being the limit settings.

I currently game at 1440p, but i do think i would like to try 4k in the near future.

OK cool, thank you.

Don't get me wrong, i know what I'm doing is completely unnecessary but I'm looking at this as a great future-proof effort. For that reason I'm going to roll the dice
