[SOLVED] 3080ti slower than 3070

I recently upgraded my 3070 to a 3080ti, but the 3080ti is much slower. I would usually average about 309fps on valorant playing at 1440p on low graphics setting. After installing the 3080ti I now only get about 170-220fps on same graphics settings and res. I have same issue in call of duty too with the card severely underperforming.
My computer specs are as follows:
Intel 10th gen i7 10700
Rog strix z490-e gaming
Rtx 3080ti evga
4x8 gb ram Corsair
Rog strix Thor 850w platinum
1tb ssd

I also have the latest drivers installed with no improvement on performance. If someone has any insight to my issue that would be great.

Reinstall drivers, also you mentioned that your GPU is only being used 30%, it makes sense for eSports titles...

What is the cpu temperature, I asked for that as well as the gpu?

Use DDU to uninstall the driver before reinstalling it https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Then run https://www.userbenchmark.com/ and share the public link to the results.
They use the same driver release... why would they need to reinstall it? Just do a clean install to update the driver with the newest one available and don't mess with DDU for what should only need to be an update...

If the driver has become corrupted reinstalling is not always enough to resolve the problem. Using DDU is the only sure way to remove the existing driver completely. It’s always a good thing to do with a gaming performance/stability issue and is quick and free to do.

While I agree that removing the driver can help fix problems, DDU can sometimes make it worse by removing files it didn't need to or wasn't suppose to whether by a setting or user error. If the driver and associated files were corrupted, the GPU or Windows would probably be crashing/Blue screening all the time.

My first guess would have been an overheating GPU, but it might be possible the bios or ram settings were reset for some reason and now the ram is now running at 2133 instead of the advertised spec with XMP or manual tuning.

I have never experienced DDU making things worse.

Which is why I asked for temperatures and userbenchmark will show RAM speed and if its possibly not in dual channel.

I agree with @sizzling on this. I have been using DDU for many years in every customer's/friend's/family's PC that needed it and not even once got anything worse.
