[SOLVED] 3090 bottleneck

Will a 3090 bottleneck with a 2700x? Playing games, like mw cold war wow etc

A little but not much. Also will depend on resolution, lower resolution more cpu constraint.
RAM speed will also affect it to a degree.

It will be at 4k and ram is at 3200

At 4k I highly doubt you'll have a major bottleneck, you might get a little bit of something, but it shouldn't be anything crazy.

You'll probably loose around 5% of performance, that I would expect.

Agree, at 4K there should be no meaningful cpu limitation.

Other factors like heat of cpu and gpu, psu and overclock are to consider. As well as storage.
But from pure cpu - gpu bottleneck, not so much.

If you are at 4K, you should be getting pretty close to within 1 fps of what pretty much any CPU would or can...

The difference between CPU's at 4K is like a 5 fps difference between the 3600X and the 5600X. Sometime 10 but not that much more.

Alright cheers was looking at getting a 5600x but wasn't sure with the 2700x
And yeah all water blocked cpu and gpu

No. No bottleneck at all. In some games the 3090 will be challenged, in some it won't, but in no way will that cpu slow it down.

The only job a gpu has is render whatever the cpu gives it according to detail levels and resolution. Most games won't fully utilize a 3090 regardless of cpu, even at 4k.
