Why even bother with 32 bit color? Can't tell the diff between 16 bit. And when does the resolution start to make a diff?

use GF2 and 750 AMD w/ Viewsonic 21" (P815) convince me that 32 bit even matters or is it just an ego extension.

LOL you dont think 32 bit makes a diference?! LOL! I turn my computer on 16 bit and half life looks like total CRAP, the colors are all blocky and stupid, i turn it on 32 and its smooth and nice and beautiful

Dude, get some new glasses! You honestly can't tell the difference between 32bit and 16bit? Are you sure that your comparing the two in GAMES and not your desktop. It's a little hard to tell when ur looking at still photos on a computer, but you CAN see a difference. Anyhow, run DeusEx with 16bit color then try 32bit. That's one game that SUCKS in 16bit color.

How on a monitor that size can you not notice the difference. Even on my puny 19" (heh) I notice a major difference.

Sorry guys don't see it. Tried Half Life and didn't. will check again when I actually have time. Have run Q3 demo in both and the speed drops tremendously but not much in visual. Now especially if your running around in a game. Maybe it's my hardware? Half Life is ussually a little dark and I brighten the hell out of it(in the Nvidia display settings). It makes things look kind of bad but I can see in the dark. that's cool!!! Q3TA looks great!

Anyway thanks for the opinion!
