32 inch 1080P TV or 1440P monitor

I am thinking of buying a 32 inch screen but unsure which is the better option a 1080p TV or a 1440p monitor? I will be sitting about 2-3 meters away from it and mostly using for gaming but may watch on demand tv shows and films

Does anyone know if this PPI Calculator website is accurate http://thirdculture.com/joel/shumi/computer/hardware/ppicalc.html as its working out that 32 inch 1440p monitor has the same PPI as a 24 inch 1080p monitor

I would honestly go for a 27" 1440p monitor which is around 109 PPI which would smoke the 1080p TV and i dont recommend tvs for pc gaming

if money is not the issue go for the 1440..if money is the issue then again the 1440 from korea lol ..any cheap 32 inch tv will never be was good as a monitor because of lag and ghosting issues... but I'm also determined to buy one hdtv for me ..because I usually play on xb1 more than pc and I can still watch movies on a tv ...I wich I could get one of those last 50 inch plasma tvs from Panasonic or samsung ...they say they are the best for fps playing but they are big and expensive even used ...out of my 300dlls range ..I been researching and people recommend the vizio e series and the Samsung ones for 32 1080p 120hz 2015 versions (but both actually play at 60). I like Samsung but recently I been seeing post about Samsung putting different screens(brands) of monitors below their 55 inch ones so you can see good quality on ones and bad on another ...I was talking to a friend that works on an electronic store and he says Walmart or picks tv that are of a lesser rating than say bb ..that's why they can give some discounts on many of the same TV's. If anyone knows about this ..please explain more ...lol ..
