Question 3200mhz ram only showing as 3000mhz in cpu-z

Recently bought trident z memory clocked at 3200mhz. Enabled xmp on mobo and chose the corrent profile of 3200 with timings. In the bios, the ram is shown as running at 3200mhz, but for some reason on cpu-z it only shows a maximum of 3000mhz. Is cpu-z incorrent? Is there a way to identify if the ram is running at the correct speed while in OS?

Mobo - MSI x99a sli plus
CPU - i7 5820k

Have you attempted to validate with alternate programs? I've never seen CPU-Z be "wrong" vs what's set in the BIOS.

What RAM do you have, specifically?

I'm wondering if his motherboard settings have an auto setting that's down clocking it.
