I have games on my pc right now. Planning to get a 64bit os. Will the downloaded games still work after i upgraded given that they support 32 and 64bit os. Or do i need to download it all again be ause the 32bit version was installed? All my games are from steam if that helps.

Solution
You might need to tell steam to download them again and point it at the folder where they already exist, it'll then check to ensure that they are up to date and 'install' them again.

Or use the backup and restore feature on steam, back the games up, reinstall windows and then restore the games.

My HDD is partitioned every steam game i have is on the D: partition and not on the system partition which is the C:

I was thinking i can only format the C: partition for the os and keep my games safe on the D:

Will that work?
