I've been having some game and browser crashes lately where I'll get errors either from a game, or from Opera GX saying something like it's ran out of memory. At the time I was running 16GB (8x2) of the Vengeance 3600 Mhz. Originally I realized XMP wasn't turned on so I went in there to see if enabling it potentially would assist me with this but it did not (I know it usually works the other way around). I ended up buying two more sticks since I can use them for browsing and music production anyways... but I'm still getting the errors. Before AND after the upgrade I had also gotten BSODs a handful of times.
I ran memtest86 overnight and it seems to have a lot of errors. I finally realized that I'm using a 650W gold PSU that according to a couple of online calculators may not be enough to run the two HDDs, two SSDs, my 3070, and Ryzen 3800XT. Not to mention a handful of USB peripherals / phone charger. My system actually seemed to have gotten a bit more stable after unplugging additional peripherals that weren't totally critical. I'm just curious if anyone experienced with memtest86 can tell me if this readout seems like something that could reasonably be caused by an insufficient PSU. I will probably grab a gold 850W Thermaltake while it's on sale.
