333 mhz vs 400

I've got an Asus a7n8x which will run at 200 fsb, and Corsair RAM which will match that speed. However, I have an Athlon 2600+ 333 mhz fsb (with a 12.5 multiplier currently). Up until now I've been running the whole rig on a 333 mhz fsb.

My question is, would it be safe if I increased the motherboard fsb to 200 mhz (with the RAM to match that speed) while I lower the CPU multiplier to say, 10x? I'm not interested in overclocking the CPU, I'd just like to get the best fsb speed setting I can.

The motherboard's highest fsb setting is 250 mhz; however my RAM is just 3200 so I'd be happy with "just" a 200 mhz fsb. Will I fry my system if I try this?

Thanks,
Mike

I think it would be safe to do if you lowered your multi to 10x. It would be slightly slower clock speed but it should be faster.
