Hey guys, I had a question about overclocking my 3570k.
I have a aftermarket cooler, the Coolermaster hyper 412s.
I want to OC my cpu to 4.0-4.3 Ghz.
Will the stock fan on the heatsink do the job or will it be smart a buy a new fan like the SP-120 from Corsair.
Also, if I was to buy the new fan, would a push-pull decrease the temps noticeably?

Thanks in advance.

I believe that the 412S is a cooler that is designed to be as silent as possible, i.e. the fan that is included is probably a little on the weak side. The Corsair fan that you have suggested is excellent for heatsinks, and should give you a temperature decrease. Having the fans in a push/pull config does lower the temperatures, on a friends 212 EVO he took 9-12C of his CPU temps by replacing the stock fan with a pair of Prolimatech Red Vortex's.
