so i got myself a H80i and installed it , on stock speeds its worked amazing max temps on prime95 after 2 hour stress testing was 47c. So ive decided to OC obviously, i have it running at 4.4GHz @ 1.95v and its stable max temp after an hour of prime 95 are 62c , am just wondering why CPUz is saying that the voltage is staying around 1.160 when i have it fixed to 1.195 in my bios settings is this normal? and are them temps in combination with them volts good to go for everyday use? its my first time OC a cpu so its all new to me.

Solution
Motherboards sometimes misreport voltages, or what you set is the voltage coming out of the VRM, but resistance is reducing it.

1.2V is pretty good. You could probably try taking it to 4.5GHz.
When you get a new CPU you have a chance of getting a good chip that over clocks well and one that won't do as well I've seen 5.1 at 1.2 volts because they got a good chip each chip is different, before you started over clocking did you find out the lowest vcore it would run at?

so should i try talking it to 4.5GHz on the same voltage ? and run prime95?

Specs are -
Asrock Fatal1ty z77 Professional Mobo
I5 3570k + Corsair H80i Cooler
Asus GTX 770
EVGA Supernova 750w Gold PSU
16GB G skill rip jaw x ram
Corsair 60GB SSD boot drive
1tb WD Black
Antec p280 case

This seems to be stable! http://www.flickr.com/photos/caolan-byrne/9222026563/ would that be a good overclock at that voltage?

With those super low temps i would keep pushing it.

pushed it to 4.5GHz at v1.21 and been stress testing for 2 hours and no errors so far i think 4.5 is my chips sweet spot , temps havent gone beyond 71c too pretty happy with that!
