with the mb your looking at go to the mb vendor web page look under cpu support. they have a printed or pdf file off all there supported cpu. on the list will have a column for bios rev needed for the cpu to post. print or write the bios rev down. the good to the driver/bios download page. see when that bios came out and what bios rev there mb are at now. good seller like newegg or amazon you can ask them to check that the mb has bios xxxx or higher. if not you can email the mb vendor and ask when by serial number bios xxxx was used. then you can ask for a mb with a serial range higher then ones the mb vendor listed. some mb vendor like asus have a usb flashback port. only power and a usb stick is needed to update the bios. also amd has...
X370 is 1st gen Ryzen mobo while 2700x is 2nd gen Ryzen CPU,
while AM4 is said to lasts until next 2020, the X370 MOBO requires BIOS update to be able to use the 2700X

unless you have a 1st gen Ryzen CPU, just get X470 MOBO or B450
