3770k and GTX980 bottleneck?

I'm planning in upgrading my GPU from a GTX970 to a GTX980 that I was recently gifted but i'm having some concerns since my CPU is a few gens old. Is there a bottleneck when using an i7 3770k and a new GTX 980? I have have to upgrade I will but i ould like to know before i spend the cash. Note that I play all new games and since i have a new GTX980 I will be playing all of them in the max graphical settings.

There shouldn't be a bottleneck with that CPU and GPU.

I think you will be fine, do you currently have the CPU overclocked? Since yours is unlocked you can probably bring it's performance up to the level of the newer generations with a nice over clock. But even without the over clock I think you will be just fine.

I'm running my cpu at 3.9ghz. Buy you believe this CPU will not bottleneck the GTX980?
