3D question, please answer...

I know it is a dumb question but can I run 3D or some 3D effects in my monitor with a 2D monitor. I have an LG TV which is 2D and I have to run some 3D effects on it. Can I do so? By any software like tridef 3D and that red | blue glasses. Please tell me.

If you want to play a game or watch a film in 3D, then you need a 3D-capable monitor and glasses. A 3D effect isn't the same thing as a true 3D image.

http://stereo.gsfc.nasa.gov/classroom/3d.shtml takes you through how to create your own red/blue 3D images and provide some sun-based examples.

Otherwise there's a lot of software out there: look up Anaglyph software.

This type of 3D works on any colour monitor.
