[citation][nom]morpheas768[/nom]demonhorde665, you should be banned just for terrible typing errors, (that is supposedly English) I can't even understand some things you've written.[/citation]

I'm assuming it's deliberate? If it is don't encourage him

On a positve note if DNF really is gone forever I just won a bet I made back in 2003.

i loved playing duke nukem, one of the greatest game ever made, but i would not give these losers a single penny, over 12 years in development. George should have taken the $30 million dollars that was offered to him and walked away because right now he has nothing...

I’m sure duke will prevail in this dilemma of his... He always has hasn’t he ;P heh.

ehh back in the days if it wasn't doom or quake I was playing, it was Duke3D, kicken alien asses with my pair of iron fist cannons ;P

On a side note, I’m dumb founded as to why id software hadn’t taken this opportunity; I thought this'll be right up their alley.

sweet nice find!

hmmmm, the plot thickens now that I’ve seen that trailer. Maybe they’re smiling in that photo because this is all a hoax ;P hahaha not getting my hopes up, but still, what a weird marketing ploy if it was a hoax.

I've been waiting for DNF for... well ever.
I guess it serves the company right for taking 4ever.
SHould have passed the buck a while back.
RIP 3drealms.

If I where to want a company to finish duke.....I'd say VAVLE. "Do this shit up, baby!"

Has anyone noticed that NO ONE with a controlling interest in the company has confirmed or denied the rumors?

All that is stated in the goodbye photo is goodbye..that's it.

This probable closing of 3DRealms and the loss of DNF has been a top story on every major video game website.
George Broussard's twitter account has jumped by 700 people in the past few days.

EA has definitly stepped up thier game, Red Alert 3 was done superbly and thier past mistakes are fading away now with many other quality releases, im sure knowing ahead of time what has already been put into the game plus what peolpe are expecting they would put the best people they could on the job, and secondly they have the pockets,

as far as the fans finishing it you would need a group of hopefully several thousand applicants, out of those they would elect a cabinet or steering comitte with a head ie. president and then that cabinet would select the team out of the pool of volunteers and then the team and cabinet would vote on lets say 4 proposals on how to finish it, and then shits gotta flow haha. but um. it could work,

either way im glad i finally got to see some pictures even if it meant the company folding,

hope its done in a year or so once its picked up. common cruel world!!!!!!

All I'm saying is Valve should help them out. Valve would be my dream company to finish this game out. Especially with all the free content that they wind up putting out.

[citation][nom]brisingamen[/nom]EA has definitely stepped up their game, Red Alert 3 was done superbly [/citation]
No, EA has failed miserably the past few games. Red Alert 3 made me cry, I feel it was the epitome of the death of that series. It turned from semi-serious fun game to complete crap. The main focus was the half-naked women, unlike in the 1st and 2nd one, which were both either serious or poking fun, not going insane with hiring good actors to say pathetic scripts and focusing on how much "boob-time" they got into the game.

And don't make me mention LOTR Conquest. They pretty much lost their license to the LOTR franchise because of that failure. Good, but not revolutionary in any sense of the world, at all.

I wonder what ever happened to the statement you guys reported on a couple of days ago. It said Apogee and thus DNF was not affected by 3DRealms problem.

This is from the article "Duke Nukem Forever shuts down"
Apogee Software and Deep Silver have just issued statement to Shacknews, confirming that there is a "situation at 3D Realms" but stressing they are not affected.

"Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms. Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned."

wow, when I was in the reserves some muscle bound Sergeant actually said
"I'll rip your head off and shit down your neck"
to me nose to nose (spitting in my face with each word like a nutter) (I was smiling too much on parade)... now I know where he got it from.

Actually if I think about it for a while DN probably really got the phrase from the army.

zoonie;
red alert 3 which i originally played as a pirated iso, im now going to buy retail because i liked it so much and believe in supporting games i like, oh and i want a cd key to play online, but,
red alert since the begining had the same acting shtick, "stalin's blonde subordinate"??? i thought it was funny and all in all it fit the game well, the whole storyline has been about going back in time frome the beggining and changing history in an unrealistic way. thats the fun of it, the game play is good, graphics really good, some of the battle reports are good to watch, the multiplayer maps are really cool. cant wait to play the expansion and online,

LOTR Conquest ive never played but, thats more or less making something out of nothing, and i dont know if ive ever enjoyed a movie video game period. . .

It seems to me that if you've been developing for 12 years, you should pretty much have a finished product now minus the inevitable "feature creep" additions that plague EVERY software project. I bet they could put it out right now with no more bugs that you'd find in any other FPS release.
