3DMark Firestrike score low compared to 3DMark Firestrike graphics score

I think my 3dmark score is rather low for my specs. My 3dmark graphics score however is pretty nice.

My firestrike score is 8278,
My graphics score is 11435.

My pc:

CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 Ghz Edition OC x2 (CF)
Storage: 237GB SSD (2+0 Stripe/RAID0)
RAM: 8GB 2133Mhz
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

My temperatures are ok, the gpu and cpu both dont get hotter then 70°C.

What could be causing the low scores?

Your Combined Score is very low which is what is throwing your overall score down.
I am more of an Intel man myself so don't know too much about AMD CPUs but I imagine that your CPU is what is holding you back.
