[SOLVED] 3M Taping HDD/SSD to a Steel Case. Good Idea?

The title is self-explanatory, but I also want to ask another question.

Is it a good idea to 3M tape HDD to another HDD or HDD to SSD?

I've taped SSD's down in cases. HDD's are a bit heavy IMO so maybe at the bottom of the case.
I definitely would not stack them. Drives need separation for airflow to keep them cooler.

SSD yes.
Spinning HDD, no. That needs to actually mounted to the case.

And don't tape one to another.

When I've needed to stack HDDs, I've made four little pillars from stacking a bunch of rubber feet at the corners. And the bottom of the little pillars, I've put a circular piece of velcro both on the bottom of the feet and the hard drive below.

Not obviously recommended when you can do otherwise, of course! In this case, I moved five drives to their own server years ago; it's not always easy finding an aesthetically pleasing case that has support for 11 3.5" drives!
