Hello. So far I've built 2 gaming PC's. (1 for home, 1 for workplace [tehe, gaming at work. lul]) I need 1 more good one for various reasons, will explain below. I'm trying to keep them all different, just because I think it's pretty freakin cool to have 3 custom gaming PC's

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Soon, like within a month or so

Budget Range: 1k, but I'd like to keep it closer to 900, if possible (No more than 1050 including OS)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Video Editing, Photo Editing, etcetc

Are you buying a monitor: Yes, know which one I'm getting though

Parts to Upgrade: starting from scratch again.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes. Super pissed at MS atm. WINDOWS 7 SHOULD BE 40 DOLLARS. the only reason it's still 99 (OEM) is because they're trying to crank our W8 even though every gamer ever hates it. -.- smh

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg & newegg only please. I like newegg, everything Is simple and clean.

Location: Kentucky USA, no microcenter nearby

Parts Preferences: 16 gb RAM (So I can dedicate 8 gigs to a server and still have plenty for me to game etcetc, 16 GIGS IS NECESSARY HERE.) NO SSD. Don't need one, really. Honest. Don't suggest one. please. Don't need any more than 500 gb storage. Also the NZXT Apollo case. freakin love that thing, looks like a sports car. <3

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, would like to xfire 7870's in the future.

Your Monitor Resolution:1920x1080 or 1920x1200 not sure which

I need a full build! Thank you so much, please read part preferences. Feel free to use pcpartpicker, although i am Way to incompetent to use it. thank you thank you thank you.

+ I'm a huge multitasker. 30+ tabs +3 fullscreen games tabbed out + editing 5 projects + messaging 10 friends at once. lots of ram is needed for my stuff. I'm surprised this little 2gb laptop + Celeron B800 or whatever processor can handle my stuff. tabbed out of combat arms with MC and terarria open + like 20 firefox tabs with only minor lag. super proud :0 ram is so freakin cheap. I remember in the old newegg video when they'd be all "OMG WE GOT 4GIGS OF RAM FOR DIS SYSTEM UMG" and now it's like. "Oh, 32 gigs? that's nice."

Anxiety.
Yeah I noticed that. Had to help my friend put some more ram in his laptop and we ended up spending like 50 bucks for like 2 or 4 gigs, can't remember.
ALSO I've heard SSD's get slower as they get fuller?

I'll probably be up for like another 1-2 days. u.u

I believe SSD's don't slow down as you fill them up but rather with wear and tear by writing and deleting files on it constantly. Generally Hard drives get slower since they get fragmented and take longer to retrieve/read files. SSD's don't need to be defragmented. I would say keep around 15%-20% free on both SSD/HDD.

Yes it does come with it, it takes a long time for me though.... I got a 750gb hard drive but only 100 gb used and it takes hours. I use Diskeeper instead works fine and has automatic defragmentation and intelliwrite so I rarely have to manually defrag.

Is diskeeper free? No costed me $20 on ebay. And for blend I guess you can say it would. It looks more visually pleasing and it does replace the windows degrag tool, even if you click windows defrag, diskeeper pops up.

Take a look for yourself:

Yeah, It was already there with my OS by default, too much work to unpin it from the taskbar. Either way I don't think I've opened internet explorer once since installing my OS
It's about Firefox and Chrome (mostly firefox, hence my picture)
