Now when I try to find "desktop" versions of similarly made RAM it starts at $120 more for the cheap stuff and almost $900 for the more expensive "gamer" RAM.
When making a graphic workstation to run Adobe CS5, using an I7 930 CPU and regular X58 MB (let's say a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R for kicks and giggles). The ECC function isn't all that important to me, but saving cash is. If I install ECC RAM on this board, will it perform effectively or would I be stuck having to buy a workstation board and CPU? (A.K.A Xeon)
