4.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz

Is my ram speed only 800mhz? I am thinking of purchasing 4Gb DDR3 Ram with 1600 mhz ram as I have an additional slot.. can somebody help?

if it's ddr3 and it shows 800 in like cpuz, then it's running at 1600mhz. it's double the frequency.

Yes, DDR stands for "Double data rate". It means data is transferred two times per clock cycle. Frequency of 800 MHz on a DDR3 memory means the data rate is 1600 MHz. Data rate is always used in marketing. Raw frequency is sometimes used in system tools.
