I recently saved $6.000 for a computer, I had to sell my ultimate gaming/editing computer 1year ago because my Ex needed to buy worthless fake decor, sold a $3,500 PC i spent 6months building and compiling.. for $750.00 after only having it for 2months... I've regretted it everyday, until now!
now i can have revenge! now my DAY HAS COME! sympathize with me, i have a shotty job.. ive worked to the bone to save this money, and i want to blow it in the absolute best way possible!

Help me build a $4.500 2K Editing/Gaming PC, I've already picked out 144FPS 2k Monitor from ASUS and other accessories that i wanted for myself..

the computer will be in a ROSEWILL BLACKHAWK ULTRA CASE, only because my old computer was, and in memory of it.. we will build it in the same case!
Also something that can not be changed, i plan on focusing on cooling.. i love it, especially fans and simply the CPU being water cooled..

Build It and i will send pictures! + benchmarks for your help!

Thank You! Much Love!

First of all i would like to clarify some things. Actually a titan black is an overkill for a 2k monitor. I suggest you to do get another monitor if u want to game on a titan black or a pair of 780Ti's. What do u think of the 295X2? It's more than enough for a single monitor(2560x1600res.) but it eats a lot of power.Personally, i think u should get another monitor(which i'll add) and a pair of 780Ti's. Here's a 4k build:

Let me know your thoughts.

well, i picked a 1200watt power supply, because of the expandability, THUS! the big rosewill case.
i pick the titan black because i like things being overkill or as i see it ''overly qualified for a job'' when i edit i want overkill for what i choose, on a 2K monitor that can do a 144 refreshrate - if i can record at 100-144FPS a second
then editing can be utilized to it's fullest - for instance i can slow things down and not lose any quality..
so its not so much about it being overkill, but about it being more than capable of getting a job done.
I don't want to JUST be able to do a job, i want to know it inside and out
- i want to be able to get it done in my sleep.
and in this way, i can choose when to add more to what i know, or in computer terms i can choose to expand without upgrading the entire system.

another monitor could be sweet for editing, having two screens.. but that's not something i'm intrested in doing..
however i've heard this 3times - twice on here and once on another site.. somepoeople are saying custom tubing??
for the cpu, and i have no idea how to go about doing that or what that even dose vs just having an H80i or H100i.

i will probably change the power supply to 1050watt, to save just a bit. thank you for working with me!!

-It's impossible for the H80i to cool something to below 5c, especially under load. It's impossible for any cooler to cool a processor below ambient temperature - only liquid nitrogen can do that. There was probably something wrong with your program's reading.
-I would still strongly advise Windows 8.1 Not only is it more optimized, but it is cheaper than 7 Ultimate and you can EASILY make it look like Windows 7 in just 10 minutes. All you need to do is download Start8 and you're set.
-What programs will you be using for editing? Honestly, a single Titan Black will not get you 144fps at 1440p, which will make your monitor a waste if you can't utilize it to the full potential.

Don't go for the i7-4960X over the i7-4930k. There's not a notable difference between the two but the 4960X is double the price. Again, it's mostly a waste of money.
I would definitely go for custom tubing over any CLC. Much quieter and much better in terms of cooling.
I wouldn't really bother with Corsair Dominator Platinum RAM because they are much more expensive just for the looks. They will perform the same as any other RAM but it is an extra ~$150 more expensive. The fact that the Blackhawk Ultra has no side panel really makes the Platinums another waste of money.
Still, I can't stress enough how much money you're wasting for little to no performance gain. The last waste of money, as I've said before, is Windows 7 Ultimate. Yeah sure, Windows 8.1 has a disliked interface, but it's more optimized and runs faster and cheaper. All you need to do is spend 10 minutes downloading and configuring Start8.

i like that answer a lot! and i respect it, i will change the things you've suggested! i also believe the same but was not willing to spend without posting the last config for the system.
i will change these things and re post soon!

Thank You!
