Is it worth it to pay for the 4.8 Ghz i9 7900x or just go for the delided non tested version 🙂 its for gaming and streaming 🙂

Kind regards Matias

Both have 2 years warranty, one is tested and will be stable at 4.8 the other one comes delided but is only tested at normal speed 🙂

I mean, you could get the 4.8GHz 7900X and delid it yourself, or send it to SL. That, or if you wanna play the lottery, go for the delidded one.

The 4.8 are allready delided as Well, the same as the 4.8 at sl’s shop 🙂 But im from EU so i can’t use sl 🙂 But yea the 4.8 is probably worth it, the non tested is kind of a gamble🙂

Both will be about as fast as an 8700K at 4.8 GHz doing the same gaming/streaming load but at roughly $600 more CPU cost alone...

I'd rethink what you think is required for gaming while streaming unless you have a severe case of side-addiction to video/3D rendering, and/or, simply must spend 'x' amount of someone else's money....; the 7900 performs well, but, that's a steep price for gaming/streaming.

I have the 7700k @ 5ghz now, and when playing games like pubg I am not able to stream and play, and on Fortnite I have bad frames when streaming. So I know that the 7900x is pricey, but the 8700k seem like a small upgrade and not that future prof, but I don’t know 🙂

I mean, with enough cooling, you could get to 5GHz on the 7900X. Possibly even 5.2GHz.

Well, get the one you feel is worth it.
