They are all ok basic setups. However for gaming on the level you specifiy...that won't be possible.

The 260x is a low end card with very limited capabilities. None of the games you mention will work on either resolution at those settings. It simply doesn't have the power or the vram to cope.

To play on High-Ultra (the hint is in the name really) you need high end parts. Your cheapest bet is somewhere around the 280x, which will play BF4 on high without aa etc. on 50-60fps.

Realistically your budget falls way short of your ambitions or targets.

For "high" settings on games like GTA 5 or Witcher 3 to work, you will need a strong 4 core CPU, 8GB of ram, a card in the region of a 780 (ti), 970, 980, 290x, or the new 980Ti and 390x that are coming very soon.

Other models can also perform on that level (to preempt flaming from some members), however I am assuming buying it new here.

Of the above, the best base to build on over the next few months is option 2 and 3.

If you were to pick a weaker cpu and a more powerful card you could achieve medium settings and veqry good fps.

This is a possibility, however you could also work an i3 in there:

of course the one with i5 4690. but plz mention the mobo chipset.
If u plan to gaming then get this:
cpu- fx 6350 (u can always upgrade to fx 8370 and 9590 cpu)
mobo- asrock fatal1ty 970 performance
ram- corsair vengeance 4gb ddr3 1600
gpu- sapphire r9 270x vapor-x OR msi r9 270x gaming 2g.
Even this system wil not b able 2 play gta v at ultra settings.
good luck.
dnt 4get 2 select d bst answer...

I prefer quad core processors for better multitasking.

True, the i3's ht doesn't make it quite as proficient at multitasking. However it's not a poor mulitasking cpu either. At that budget, wanting to play those games, the r7 260x is going to be a bottleneck.

i3 multitasking
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2013/11/14/intel-core-i3-4130-haswell-review/4

r7 260x gets around 40fps compared to 60fps from an r9 270/270x on watchdogs at 1080 high settings.
http://www.techspot.com/review/827-watch-dogs-benchmarks/page4.html

The r7 260x is about on par with the 7790, maybe a couple fps higher. So on gtaV you'd be looking at fps in the 30's rather than the 50's-60's.

Bf4, same thing. Likely fps in the low/mid 30's compared to the 70's with a 270x.

The 260x is roughly around $100, the 270x can be had for as low as $130-140. My advice, if you still want a quad core then add just a little to that budget and it will really improve the performance in games you're looking to play.
