I have an Intel i5-6600k, 4 core, 4 threads, 8gb RAM. I downloaded Adobe Cloud and several programs (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Bridge, Illustrator, and InDesign. They worked okay for a week or two and then started crashing. I checked my CPU info to see I was reduced to one core, one thread. I loaded a backup of my hard drive that I made before the downloads, and I see 4 core, 4 threads again. How did my cores get reduced?

I'm upgrading to an i7-9700k, 8 core, 8 threads, 32gb RAM. Will I still have problems with Adobe crashing my computer?

That can't change on its own.

What did you do before this happened?
Downloaded the Adobe software from where?
The Adobe Cloud was downloaded from the Adobe site. I know what I bought, so I was surprised to see only one core under System Information. Still, it's back to reading 4 cores, and I'm scared to download it again. Still scared to download it when my new CPU comes in, but I'll have to do it sooner or later.
