4 in 1 chipset questiion VIA

Hi,

I just installed a new hard drive and winXP, installed all the security
upgrades. Next I loaded the cd for the ASUS A7V8X-8 mobo to load USB 2, and
audio drivers. So far so good. Now:

Also on the CD is a VIA 4 in 1 chipset driver install routine. I don't
know what to do about that. So far the system is perfectly stable. Should
I load the chip set drivers or leave well enough alone? I also checked
VIA's website and there is a new version of the 4 in 1 chipset drivers
available.

If you are a gamer, install the AGP driver only. Other than that, don't
install anything. (you don't have to install all of the 4-in-1) -Dave

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the advice. I may install the AGP driver. If so, do I run
the 4 in 1 utility that's on the mobo CD, and then after it initializes, I'm
offered that choice, or do I go find a seperate driver somewhere?

Every time I've run the 4-in-1 install, I've been given a choice about what
to install. I hope that hasn't changed recently. -Dave
