Hi,

ok here is the deal, I need new workstation and currently I m running 5 19 inch monitors on 2 AMD cards, but I'm not all that happy with how smooth it is, so for my new set up I'm going for 4 24 inch Dell 2414H monitors and now I dont really know what to do in terms of how to connect them.

My work load is few mozzila browsers with multiple tabs, few applications but nothing 3D intensive, outlook, and some Video watching from IPTV plus some videos via VLC.

I would like simplest solution, which would work smoothest so far my options are:

1. Get Asus GTX960 turbo which has 5 outputs and says it can support 4 monitors and hook them up via 3 DP and 1 HDMI
2. Get MSI GF GTX950 and daisy chain via MST monitors ( I presume this would work).
3. Get Quadro K620 and again daisy chain, on Nvidia site it says this would work
4. And this would be my ideal even tho I dont think it would work, daisy chain via MST 4 monitors on INTEL HD 5300, and use some I7 for that( in all other options I would go for I5 6500).

So my question is, what if someone has experience is better, daisy chain or just hooking up monitors directly to graphics card?

Solution
Intel integrated graphics only supports up to 3 monitors, so there goes your #4.
Daisy chaining with the MST would be a good option.
Another option is to get a card that has dual displayport outputs. Each one can support 2 monitors (in general) so you wouldn't even need to chain them. Just put a couple splitters in.
