4 the record: These are the GSkill that use the micron chips

Anyways I sent them an email asking if these modules used Micron D9 memory and this is the responce I got the next day. Which is today.

So Im wondering if these two modules are the same damn thing. I wonder if the first link will do the same as the second link??

I will leave it up to other people to contact the other Name Brands to get similar info about there products. If you do ask them then post here we could probably get a sticky made listing the various brands specific model numbers that are in fact using the Micron memory. If anyone would be interested in that sort of thing.

I still think this could be sweet memory if you don't plan on pushing it any further then 400mhz!

I know some guy did a compilation at XtremeSystems but it would be sweet to have a list of all the Ram with D9 in it!

I know the author of that list and the method he used to make it. Its quite reliable.
But once you combine that with insider news and specific batch numbers, then is when it gets interesting 8)

Well the thing is Micron makes several IC's and that guy didnt go into which specific Micron IC's were being used. He didnt even actaull mention D9.

I know this is kinda a double posting but any chance that the 667 G.Skill WITH Micron will outperform the 800 without?

People has got to stop calling them D9's, every DDR2 Micron module starts with a D9 so that says NOTHING.
A-DATA used some highly binned non-Micron chips in their 667 modules that gave them the best overclocks for a 'budget'.

Well this is how we noobs learn. For all I knew they used to use D8's.

ok Im going to start another thread asking which chips in order, are best to worst.

I will also start a thread regarding single or duel channel. please chime in on both these threads dario

600Mhz for $230 wasnt going to last... But know thats at $270 (I dare you to find them) its still a better deal than Gskill HZs for those seeking 550+Mhz.

I don't mind doing business with smaller etailers, usually I'll pay with paypal though.

@Dario, yeha 230$ was a steal, 270 is still in my price range, I don't expect going much further then 450mhz, but I like crucial quality and tight timmings!
310 is a little to much to my taste!
