So, I'm trying to run 3 4k monitors and be able to play GTA V on ultra. I currently have a 2-way GTX 980 rig and it can run on 1 4k monitor ALMOST maxed out but not quite. I am about to order 2 more GTX 980's but came across the Titan X Benchmarks and am getting cold feet. What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance...

The Titan X OC is nearly as fast as 980 SLI OC. This is part due to how well the Titan X OC's, how SLI doesn't scale that well and the extra VRAM. There is also a fair amount of games which don't support SLI well or at all.

Now things get far worse when you go to 4-way SLI. Scaling gets worse the more GPU's you add. To make matters worse, latency increases with every GPU you add.

Titan X SLI is far more attractive than 980 4-way SLI.
