4 years old pc, Upgrade needed.

hi guys around 4 years now i bought a preassembled pc at the store. Now is starting to slow down and even the games like Minecraft start to drop FPS. i need help on what can i improve, also not spending much money on it.

Here there are the specs:

Motherboard: MSi MS-7778 (JasmineR)
CPU: Amd FX-670k (3.8 Ghz. 4 core)
Ram: 12gb DDR3-1600 (MoBa support 1333-1600-1866mhz, max 32gb)
GPU: Radeon R7 240 (2gb)
+ 2 Tb hard drive and 16Gb SSD for boot and disk caching.

How long has it been since your last format/windows reinstall? Maybe that will help to get it working as new again.

i formatted and installed windows 10 around 2 months ago. it had windows 8.1

Uhm, I would myself consider getting a CPU/MOBO and RAM pack for like 200/300$. Maybe a Pentium G4560, MSI H110M Eco and 8GB DDR4 2400MHz from Kingston? That's around, maybe, 200$. Install the GPU you have currently and it will work just fine. Hope I helped :]
