Hi, I'm looking to build a computer to do basic tasks such as word processing, Netflix streaming and internet browsing. My budget is around $400, but preferably lower. Also, I prefer Intel as opposed to AMD. I want to have a small form factor PC such as a mITX or mATX. Thanks in advance!

I do need a copy of windows as well as the PC for close to or less than $400

I need the following
CPU
HDD
Case
Optical Drive
PSU
OS

Spend the $400 bucks on a refurbished computer on E-bay from a surplus dealer or look in your local computer store for used computers... You can probably find pretty cheap laptop or desktop for $200.00.

Or if you know what you are doing go to an estate sale on the last day or a garage sale to pick up a basic computer for under $100.00.

Advertise on Craigslist that you are a student in need and you might get a donation

Or go to a computer recycling center and scrounge parts.
You should ask around your school campus for a copy of Word & Windblows.

You're in college, You should be spending your money on condoms and beer!
